Philip Schatz, Ph.D.

Director of Neuropsychology Research

Dr. Philip Schatz is a neuropsychologist with research interests in the areas of outcome following traumatic brain injury, assessing and monitoring the effects of concussion in youth and collegiate athletes, and computer-based assessment.

 

Dr. Schatz received his BS in psychology from Penn State University (1986) and his MS and PhD in Neuropsychology from Drexel University (1995). He completed his pre-doctoral internship at The Toronto Hospital in Canada, and joined the St. Joseph’s University faculty in 1998, where he currently serves as Professor in the psychology department.

 

Dr. Schatz has been conducting research on sports-related concussion for over a decade, and maintains an active program of research in this area. More information about his research and publications are available on his personal website.
