Joe Mazzerina, MS

Predoctoral Extern

Mr. Mazzerina is a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at the Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology (IGCP) at Widener University. He graduated cum laude from Montclair State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and completed the pre-med curriculum. He subsequently earned a Master of Science degree in neuroscience from Drexel University College of Medicine, where he conducted novel research on alcohol dependence in the brain. Mr. Mazzerina brings his experience as a Patient Care Technician at Chilton Medical Center and as a Medical Assistant at University Health and Urgent Care, where he obtained hands-on clinical experience working with medically complex patients across the lifespan. He is passionate about understanding the relationship between the nervous system and behavior, and using this knowledge to diagnose, treat, and help individuals navigate neuropsychological challenges.
